Civil nuke deal to figure in talks with Japanese PM

Civil nuclear cooperation will be high on the agenda of discussions at the Summit meeting between Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and his Japanese counterpart Yoshihiko Noda. Mr. Noda who is coming to India on a three day visit on Tuesday will hold delegation level talks with Dr Singh in New Delhi on Wednesday. The two leaders will also look at ways to enhance trade. Speaking to reporters in New Delhi, external affairs ministry spokesperson Syed Akbaruddin said the two Prime Ministers will also discuss regional issues, including the new developments in North Korea after the death of its leader Kim Jong-IL.

Mr. Yoshihiko Noda, is coming on his first visit to India as Prime Minister. During his stay Mr. Noda will call on the Vice President Mohammed Hamid Ansari, UPA chairperson Ms Sonia Gandhi among others.
