Minister of State for Civil Aviation Hardeep Singh Puri has said the Civil Aviation sector in India has great potential with the gradual increase of urban population. Mr Puri referred to predictions saying that by the year 2040, the number of passengers taking to air travel, is expected to increase five times to 1124 million from the present 204 million. <br />'' <br />'' The Minister was speaking at an International Conference on Civil Aviation and Air Cargo in New Delhi today. Mr Puri, who is also holding the charge of Urban Development Ministry, said the country is expected to witness 40 per cent growth in its population by 2030. He said 600 million people will be living in urban areas. <br />''  <br />
