<span style="color: #222222;">Chief Justice of India Sharad Bobde today said that citizenship was not only about people's rights, but also about their duties towards society. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Speaking at the 107th Convocation Ceremony of the Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University in Nagpur, he lamented that some educational institutes have become extremely commercially-minded. He said, developing intelligence and character was the true goal of education. He said, universities are not about brick as well as mortar and they aren't supposed to function like assembly line of a production unit. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The CJI also emphasized that university degrees are not end in themselves, but are means to an end. He said, universities should re-orient themselves and ensure that they stay true to the compass and march on towards the basic goal of the society, which undoubtedly changes at different times. </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"><br />'' In the convocation function, 100 meritorious students were awarded 158 gold medals, nine Silver Medals and 18 prizes. Besides this, 746 students were also awarded Ph.D. degrees in different disciplines. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">CJI Bobade is an alumnus of erstwhile Nagpur University where he completed his degree in Law.</span><br />''
