The government has said, Central Industrial Security Force is providing security cover to 59 airports in the country and additionally CISF deployment has been approved for 3 more airports. Informing this to the Lok Sabha today, Minister of state for Home Kiren Rijiju said, deployment of CISF at airports is considered on the basis of threat assessment and requirement of ministry of civil aviation.<br/><br/>Replying to supplementaries in the Lok Sabha, Mr Rijiju said, presently CISF is providing security cover to 329 installations such as airports, industrial units, national monuments and government buildings. He said, the capabilities of CISF are continuously enhanced through training and providing requisite equipments. The minister, however, declined there is no such proposal at present to raise any separate wing within the CISF.
