Cincinnati Open Tennis: Bhupathi, Bopanna lose title clash of Men's Doubles

The Indian duo of Mahesh Bhupathi and Rohan Bopanna has lost the title clash of the Men's Doubles in the Cincinnati Open Tennis tournament at Ohio, USA. In the final match played last night, the sixth seeded Indian duo failed to win their second title of the season as it lost to the Romanian-Swedish combination of Horia Tecau and Robert Lindstedt, 4-6, 4-6. Bhupathi and Bopanna had won the Dubai Open Men's Doubles title in March and this was only the second time in 2012 that they had made it to the finals of an ATP event.<br/><br/>Meanwhile, Switzerland's World Number One Roger Federer continued his breath-taking performance as he bagged the Men's Singles title with a straight set victory over Serbia's Novak Djokovic, 6-0, 7-6.<br/><br/>In Women's Singles, China's Na Li was crowned champion when she beat Germany's Angelique Kerber, 1-6, 6-3, 6-1, in the finals.<br/><br/>The Women's Doubles trophy went to the Czech pair of Andrea Hlavackova and Lucie Hradecka, which defeated the Chinese-Slovenian tandem of Jie Zheng and Katarina Srebotnik, 6-1, 6-3.
