In West Bengal, the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has started probe over the recent death of top Maoist leader Kishanji. The Government has taken the decision for probing the episode following allegation from different circles that the Maoist leader was killed in fake encounter. The senior officers of the CID have already visited the spot at Burisole forest in West Midnapur district where Kishanji was shot dead during the encounter with security forces on last Thursday. Meanwhile, the last rites of the Maoist leader were performed at his native village at Karimnagar in Andhra Pradesh yesterday. Many human rights activists were present at the funeral. Meanwhile security measures at Andhra-Odisha Border have been intensified in the wake of the death ofMaoist top gun M Koteswar Rao. Quoting police sources UNI reports that the Special Police force has intensified combing operations at the border suspecting the presence of Maoists from various states.The sources said that the special police party teams and greyhounds have been deployed to flush out rebels from the border areas as the Maoists seem to be planning a major offensive.
