In Gujarat, the CID of the State Police has registered an FIR against the Additional Director General of Police Kuldeep Sharma and four others in the 26-year old fake encounter case in Kutch. Quoting police sources, AIR Bhuj Correspondent reports that the CID acted on the application received from a close relative of two persons who have been allegedly killed in the police encounter in 1984. Mr. Kuldeep Sharma was the then Superintendent of Police of Kutch. AIR Correspondent adds that FIR lodged against Mr. Sharma in 26-year-old fake encounter case has generated heat and curiosity in the bordering district of Kutch.
