Churches attacked in Karnataka

Two Churches were attacked in Karnataka again. A Church on the outskirts of Mysore and another in Murudeshwara in Uttara Kannada district came under attack yesterday night. The Mysore Dy. Commissioner, Manivannan visited the spot. <br/><br/>Narrating the possible sequence of events, the DCP, Ravikanthe Gowda said, alarmed by the dog barking they might have tried to flee the place and while doing so, might have damaged Saint Mary idol. In Murudeshwara the miscreant have damaged the glass encloser in which the Saint Mary idol was kept. The opposition leaders in the state have taken serious note about sporadic attacks on churches in the State. The Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa has alleged that it is a conspiracy to malign the name of his government and has ordered enquiry against the attacks.
