Christians world over to celebrate Christmas Saturday

Christians across the world are getting ready to celebrate Christmas with Carol singing, midnight masses and special services. The focus of the celebration will be in Bethlehem, where Christ was born over 2000 years ago. A traditional procession is planned there with a concert in Manger Square to be capped by a midnight mass. According to Palestinian Authorities, at least 90,000 people are expected to flood the city for the Christmas celebrations. For the first time Christians from Arab countries with no diplomatic ties with Israel, flocked to Bethlehem to celebrate Christmas. In a pre-Christmas message, Latin Patriarch Fuad Twal, the most senior Catholic bishop in the Middle East offered solidarity to Iraqi Christians, who have been the target of repeated attacks. Churches across India have been tastefully decorated for midnight mass tonight and celebrations tomorrow.
