In the Western African state of Nigeria, an outbreak of Cholera in eleven of the country's thirty six states has claimed 231 lives.A health official said in capital Abuja on Friday that over 4,665 people have been infected. He said, the ministry of health has mobilised a team of health personnel to the affected areas with drugs and water treatment chemicals to curtail further spread of the disease.The official told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), that the ministry has set up response centres in all the affected states to attend to victims.Governor Isa Yuguda of Bauchi, one of the affected states has directed that victims be treated free. He also assured of adequate supply of drugs from the government for the treatment of the victims.
