The World Health Organization (WHO) says, a cholera outbreak has killed 471 people in Yemen, in the space of a month.<br/><br/>In a report, WHO said, hygiene conditions are worsening amid a prolonged civil war and the number of confirmed and suspected patients of the disease had reached more than 52,000. <br/><br/>The average daily number of cases over the last week in May was just over 2,500, said the report. The civil war between Yemen's Saudi-backed government and rebel forces has destroyed many hospitals and water treatment facilities. <br/><br/>The country is also seriously short of doctors, nurses and medicine. The United Nations and international NGOs have urged the warring parties to provide funding for clinics and medical supplies as well as permit health-care personnel to safely enter conflict zones.
