In Assam, a team of CBI officials will meet Assam Police in Guwahati today to discuss the chit fund company issue. Official sources said they will hold discussions with a view to screen cases having inter-state and national ramifications which may be handed over to the CBI. After this meeting, CBI officials are likely to send a report to higher authorities for further action. The Assam government has recommended a CBI inquiry against 11 chit fund companies including Saradha.
