The new Union Minister of State for Tourism Dr K Chiranjeevi has said the Centre is committed to strengthen the existing tourism infrastructure in the country.

Assuming the charge of the Ministry in New Delhi today, Dr Chiranjeevi said his Ministry is doing all out efforts to provide safe and clean tourism for foreign as well as domestic tourists.

The Telugu mega star has been inducted into the Union Cabinet as the Minister of State for Tourism with independent charge on last Sunday. Dr Chiranjeevi has underlined the need for creating awareness among the people about the importance of the national heritage and historic monuments.

He also sought people's cooperation in attracting tourist inflow to the country to strengthen its robust economic growth.
