Chinese troops partially damaged a stone wall in Arunachal: Antony

The Rajya Sabha was informed on Wednesday that Chinese troops had partially damaged a stone wall in Arunachal Pradesh in July this year.

Defence Minister A K Antony said that the 200 feet stone wall was built 250 meters inside the Indian Territory in Tawang area.

He said, as per the established mechanism with China , a strong protest was lodged with the Chinese side on the action of its army patrol in a flag meeting.

In reply to a question, the Minister, however said, the attempt by the Chinese People's Liberation Army to raze the wall, was prevented by the Indian Army.
