<span style="color: #222222;">Chinese President Xi Jinping will arrive in Vietnam today on a state visit. Observers say China is seeking to deepen diplomatic relations with its neighbour in the south, amid concerns about Hanoi's closeness with the West. He is scheduled to meet Vietnam's Communist Party General-Secretary, Nguyen Phu Trong, President Vo Van Thuong and Prime Minister Minh Chinh. Xi last visited Vietnam in 2017 for an Asia- Pacific economic summit.</span><br />
