Chinese President Xi Jinping reaches Kathmandu on 2-day visit to Nepal

<span style="color: #222222;">Chinese President Xi Jinping has reached Kathmandu on a two-day visit to Nepal. After concluding his second informal summit with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Chennai, Mr Jinping landed in Kathmandu today. It is the first visit by a Chinese President to the Himalayan nation in 23 years.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He was received by the President of Nepal, Bidya Devi Bhandari. Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun, Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli and other senior leaders were also present at the airport to welcome President Jinping. He was accorded a ceremonial reception at the airport. </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"><br />'' Later in the evening, the Chinese President met his Nepali counterpart at Sheetal Niwas, the President House. He also attended a Banquet hosted by President Bhandari. </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"><br />'' President Jinping will hold delegation-level talks with Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli tomorrow morning. Following the talks, both the leaders will witness signing of bilateral agreements and memoranda of understanding. </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"><br />'' Senior leaders of Nepal will call on the Chinese President during his sojourn in Kathmandu. The Government of Nepal has declared a public holiday on Sunday in the honour of visiting dignitary.</span><br />''
