Chinese President to arrive in Ahmedabad today on 3-day visit to India

Chinese President Xi Jinping will arrive in Ahmedabad today on a three-day visit to India.

He will be received by Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel, Governor OP Kohli, and her cabinet colleagues at the Ahmedabad airport.

A traditional welcome will be given to Chinese President along with the Guard of Honour. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will welcome him in Vastrapur, after which the two-leaders will hold talks and three MoUs are likely to be signed.

Of them, two are for relations between Guangdong and Gujarat, and Guangzhou and Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation. One MoU will be signed in industrial sector.

Thereafter, the visiting dignitary will visit Sabarmati Ashram. Xi Jinping will also walk along the Sabarmati river front witnessing folk art forms and dances.

Mr. Modi will host a private dinner to the Chinese President, after which Mr. Xi will leave for New Delhi.
