Chinese incursion: process on to resolve standoff says India

India today said the process is on to resolve the standoff arising out of the Chinese troop incursion in Ladakh and hoped a solution would emerge. Talking to reporters in New Delhi this morning, External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid said that such an act is not acceptable and India has lodged its dissent. He said the perception over the Line of Actual Control, LAC, varies between the two countries and when perceptions vary, sometimes disagreements can take place. The External Affairs Minister said the two countries are in the process of working towards demarcating the LAC.
Chinese troops entered Indian territory in Daulat Beg Oldie on 15th of this month and have established a small camp in the Indian area and have refused to go back to their side of the LAC. Two flag meetings have been held so far between the two sides but have failed to yield any result on the position on the ground.
