China says, it is verifying Defence Minister A.K. Antony's charge that Chinese helicopters violated Indian airspace twice last month. Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesman Liu Weimin told the media in Beijing today that his government has seen the press reports but it still need to verify the information. He reiterated his government's its stand to resolve the border dispute with India through negotiations.
Antony's statement in Parliament yesterday said that Chinese helicopter's violated Indian airspace on March 16 and 19 in the Hamachal Pradesh border. He said the violations are taken up with the Chinese side through established mechanisms like s hot lines, flag meetings, border personnel meetings and normal diplomatic channels.
