China's Li Na has won the Women's Singles title at the French Open Tennis Championship. In the final in Paris yesterday, she defeated defending champion Francesca Schiavone of Italy in straight sets 6-4, 7-6 with a confident display of power and accuracy. Twentynine-year old Li Na has now become the first player from an Asian nation to claim a Grand Slam singles title.
