China's World Number One Hou Yifan has won the FIDE Women's Chess Grand Prix championship in Sharjah. <br/><br/>Although her compatriot Ju Wenjun grabbed the solo lead of the final leg after nine rounds yesterday, Hou Yifan has been officially declared winner on the basis of her overall points from the four Grand Prix tournaments. <br/><br/>Wenjun beat India's Grandmaster Harika Dronavalli to increase her points tally to 7' points, half a point ahead of Hou Yifan. <br/><br/>The two leaders were teammates in the Chinese women's team which came second in last month's Chess Olympiad in Norway. In today's match Koneru Humpy plays against Ju Wenjun.
