China's home-made passenger aircraft becomes operational

China's home-made passenger aircraft has become operational. Its first new-generation short haul passenger aircraft, Xinzhou-600 was delivered today to the country's Civil Aviation College in Guanghan city.The Xinzhou-600 was developed by Xi'an Aircraft International Corporation. It had its first trial flight in October 2008 in Xi'an, capital of Shaanxi Province. The turboprop aircraft is an upgraded version of the Xinzhou-60 that can carry 50 to 60 passengers.
