China's government has said, the country's economy grew 6.7 per cent in the first quarter of the year compared to the same time last year. The latest figures are in line with what many economists had been expecting. It is the slowest quarterly growth in the Chinese economy in seven years. Other data from China, the world's second largest economy, showed a robust 10.5 per cent jump in retail sales for March.
