China has warned the United States of taking counter-measures after the Biden administration approved more than 1.1 billion dollars in arms sales to Taiwan. A Chinese embassy spokesman in the US,  Liu Pengyu called on Washington to immediately revoke the approval. He said China will firmly oppose the sales, which severely jeopardize China-US relations and peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait.
