The much awaited meeting between the Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and Chinese Premier Mr. Wen Jiabao is now on in the sidelines of the 15th ASEAN Summit at Hua Hin in Thailand. In his opening remarks, the Chinese Premier said that he wants a healthy relationship with India and wants this opportunity to exchange views on all related issues. The Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh congratulated Wen Jiabao on 60th anniversary of the establishment of the People's Republic of China and said that he is excited to meet him. <br/>AIR correspondent Biswajeet Bhattacharjee covering the summit adds that the relations which have warmed in recent years mostly on the back of mutual trade which has increased 30 fold since 2000 is expected to consolidate further through this meeting in spite of the recent tensions involving Arunachal Pradesh and the Brahmaputra dam issue. <br/>
