China trying to block publication of report alleging

China supplied ammunition to Sudan violating UN embargo Diplomats at the United Nations say China is trying to block the publication of a report which alleges that Chinese ammunition has been sent to Sudan's Darfur region in violation of an international arms embargo. The report presented to the UN says several types of bullet casings from China were found at the sites of attacks against UN peace-keepers in Darfur. However, there is no evidence that the ammunition was directly sold to the Sudanese government. The Chinese diplomat Zhao Baogang said his government strongly objected to the report as it was vaguely worded. The report also suggests two types of bullet casings found in Darfur have been manufactured in Israel.
