A traffic jam in China stretching more than 100 kilometres has entered its 9th day. Large numbers of cars and trucks have been stranded on the national expressway which links the capital Beijing to Inner Mongolia. The gridlock has been caused by road works, broken down vehicles and the increased use of the express way.
