In a bid to fight global warming, the world's biggest emitter of carbon dioxide, China, has announced it will take steps voluntarily to cut emissions by 40 to 45 per cent per unit of GDP by 2020. <br/><br/>China's decision came hours after the White House said President Barack Obama personally commit the goal of a 17 per cent emissions cut from 2005 levels by 2020.<br/><br/>Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao will attend the 15th Conference of the Parties of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) from 7th to 18th of next month in Copenhagen.<br/>
