Beijing has just thrown open the doors to a secret and very powerful institution where many of the China's elite have studied. Top officials in Chinese companies, the bureaucracy and the government have virtually all spent time at the one of the Communist Party's schools. The most prestigious and powerful of these is the sweeping campus in Beijing where China's leader Hu Jintao was once school president. In an attempt to at least have the appearance of greater transparency, the Communist Party is currently opening up some of its more secret institutions, including the school in Beijing.
