In China, the bodies of 10 miners have been pulled from a flooded mine in southwestern Sichuan province. State media report said two more still remain trapped underground and rescuers are trying to reach them. Xinhua, quoting local authorities said the miners have been trapped since the mine shaft in the city of Dazhou flooded on Monday when 30 miners were working underground. Eighteen miners escaped the flood. A city spokesman said mine's owner and the manager in charge of safety have been arrested. It is the latest fatal incident in China's dangerous mines and follows a report by state media on Friday saying that three workers trapped in a mine in the country's northeast were unlikely to survive.
