China sweeps 19th Asian Table Tennis Championship

In the 19th Asian Table Tennis Championship Ding Ning from China won women title defeating Li Xiaoxia of her own country by 4-3 in finals while the world number one pair of both players won the women's doubles title on Sunday. Championship is being held at Lucknow. In the final which witnessed long rallies, the Chinese pair defeated Kim Kyung Ah and Park Mi Young of Korea by 4-2. The Chinese girls took the lead by winning the first game but the Koreans made it 1-1. Both teams were also locked 2-2 after which the Chinese did not give any space to their opponents.In Men`s doubles final Chinese pair MA Long and XU Xin defeated WANG Liqin and Jhang Jike of their own counter by 4-0. Earlier, Ma Long and Li Xiaoxia had won the mixed doubles title defeating Zhang Jike and Ding Ning. In the semi-finals, Li Xiaoxia and Ding Ning had defeated Dang Ye See and Park Young Sook of Korea 4-0 while Kim Kyung Ah and Park Mi Young beat feng Tinisvei and Wang Yue gu of Singapore 4-3. In the finals of the single events World Number two, MA Long will be meeting Zhang Jike late on Sunday evening.
