In badminton, the Indian men's doubles pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty bowed out of China Open semi-finals at Fuzhou yesterday.

They lost 16-21, 20-22 to the World No.1 duo of Marcus Fernaldi Gideon–Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo from Indonesia. 

This was the eighth successive loss for Satwik and Chirag against the Indonesian pair. Chirag-Satwik pair had earlier lost the final of French Open 2019 also to Marcus and Kevin.
