China made nuclear fuel breakthrough

Chinese scientists say they have made a breakthrough which could provide supply of uranium for the country's nuclear power programme for up to 3000 years. State television reported the researchers have developed a process that will allow spent nuclear fuel to be reprocessed. Current reserves of uranium in China could run out in less than 50 years.
