China keen to replicate its experience for AP infrastructure development

China is keen on replicating its experience in Andhra Pradesh's infrastructure development. A Chinese delegation of Guizhou Maritime Silk Road International Investment Corporation (GIIC), a consortium of three Chinese manufacturing firms, called on Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu in Vijayawada yesterday. <br/><br/>The Group headed by its Vice President Tang Changwel apprised the CM its recent experience in constructing Guiyang, the capital city of Guizhou province. He said various infrastructural amenities including executing urban planning, attaining road connectivity, laying of railway lines, constructing subways, sports complexes, business exhibition centers, were carried out by their group within 18 months.<br/><br/>He further said that their Group is well aware of Andhra Pradesh's advantages including long coastline, natural and mineral resources, etc., and therefore, look forward to take part in the construction of new capital Amaravati. Chief Minister Naidu during his visit to China met the members of GIIC group and elaborated the group on a plethora of investment opportunities in the virgin State of Andhra Pradesh.<br/><br/> During the tour of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in China, GIIC has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Kakinada SEZ, a subsidiary of GMR Infrastructure, to set up an industrial park for the high-end Chinese equipment manufacturing companies. Following the MoU, GIIC delegation visited the State and toured in capital region on Thursday.<br/><br/>The Chief Minister in affirmation, called upon the Chinese Group to take part in a zone-specific construction, like building the CM's office, Secretariat and also the construction of hotels. The CM suggested the Chinese companies to concentrate in developing a specific zone in Amaravati, while keeping same pace with the time as it was done in Guiyang city.
