Floods have killed 52 people and left 32 missing in China since the flood season began this month. More than 3,000 rescuers are trying to fight the floods and locate the missing. The Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Civil Affairs have allocated 35 million yuan for flood relief. Heavy rains have inundated parts of 12 provinces in central and southern China and affected 4.8 million people. The majority of those killed have been in the province of Guizhou, where 21 people are confirmed dead in the flooding.
