In China, 11 people have been killed and 22 others injured after a bus plunged into a ravine in northwest Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. According to local authorities, the bus, carrying 33 passengers, tumbled into a ten-meter-deep ravine this afternoon due to ice on the road in Hongyao Township. Nine people died at the scene and another two in the hospital. Investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.
