Arrangements are in the last leg for BRICS summit scheduled from 3rd to 5th September at Xiamen – a coastal and commercial town in China. Security has been tightened at and around the summit venue. <br/><br/>Our correspondent reports that all roads leading to the Xiamen International Conference Centre have been blocked. Flexes welcoming the delegates have been put in large numbers across the town. Host country China has invited five guest countries for the summit under its BRICS-plus approach.<br/><br/>They are Egypt, Kenya, Tajikistan, Mexico and Thailand. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be accorded warm welcome at Xiamen. Indian community living at this coastal town and its neighboring cities has planed to honour Mr Modi during his stay in China.
