In China, thirty one miners have been trapped in a coal mine which was flooded in the northern Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The accident happened this morning at Luotuoshan Coal Mine in Wuhai City, at least 600 kilometers from the regional capital Hohhot. According to rescue operation headquarters, 77 miners were working in the pit when the flooding occurred, of which 46 had been lifted to the ground. Rescuers are searching for the missing miners while also trying to drill into the tunnel and pump water out.
