In China, 12 people were killed and another 12 suffered injuries after a suspected methane gas explosion. The blast hit an under-construction railway tunnel in the southern province of Guizhou. <br/><br/>Officials said those killed had been trapped inside the tunnel after yesterday's blast. The tunnel is designed to enable the construction of a high-speed railway connecting Sichuan province with Guizhou.
