Chilly winds blowing across the city have intensified the cold wave conditions in the national capital Delhi. The city however got respite from the dense fog. Although the minimum temperature was five degrees above average, the maximum yesterday settled three notches below normal at 17.7 degree Celsius. According to the met department, a thick blanket of fog is likely to engulf the city tomorrow morning. Our Correspondent has filed this report.AIR correspondent reports, as the mercury continues its downward trend, the Delhi government has increased the number of night shelters in the city to provide respite to the homeless from the biting cold. More than 125 shelters are being run across the city where all necessary facilities including free health check ups are being provided. The MCD has also closed all schools till 15th of this month to protect the children from the harsh weather.
