Chilean President Sebastian Pinera is facing new protests after he replaced eight ministers including his interior and finance ministers yesterday in an effort to quell the mass protests which have swept the country.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''Mr Pinera sacked interior minister Andres Chadwick, who is his cousin and long-time confidant, with Gonzalo Blumel, a 41-year-old presidency minister. The Chilean President also appointed economics professor Ignacio Briones to replace finance minister Felipe Larrain. Over a million people had taken to the streets demanding economic and political changes in the country.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''Despite the measures by the government, protesters have again clashed with security forces in various parts of the country including in the capital Santiago.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">At least 20 people have been killed in the protests so far which erupted more than a week ago as a student protest against a hike in metro fares but quickly turned into deadly demonstrations.
