CHILE – NASA: NASA scientists to help rescue Chilean miners

Experts from the US space agency NASA are due today at the copper mine in Chile where 33 miners have been trapped underground for almost a month. They will advise the Chilean government on how to keep the miners healthy and in good spirits while they await rescue. The NASA team includes a doctor, a nutritionist, an engineer and a psychologist. They have a wealth of experience in space missions. They help astronauts cope with extreme conditions and months of solitude.
