The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) today issued notices to the South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC)Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner of Police, South West Delhi over the death of a child after falling into a water septic tank. Taking suo motu cognizance of a media report, the Commission has asked them to submit detailed reports in the matter within four weeks. <br/><br/>A four year old student died after falling in an open septic tank at a school run by the South Delhi Municipal Corporation in Kapashera on the 27th of this month. The NHRC expressed serious concern over the negligence on the part of school administration as the boy's family, police and civic body were not immediately informed about the incident.
