The Chief of the Army Staff General Manoj Pande reviewed the Passing Out Parade (POP) of Gentleman Cadets at Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun today. A total of 374 Gentleman Cadets of 152 Regular Courses and 135 Technical Graduate Courses successfully passed out from the portals of IMA. Three hundred thirty-two cadets from different States of the country passed out and joined the army as officers. A maximum of 57 cadets are from Uttar Pradesh, 33 from Bihar, and 24 cadets are from Uttarakhand. At the same time, 42 cadets from seven friendly countries also passed out today.<br />''<br />''While addressing the cadets General Manoj Pande said that in the years to come, the cadets' resilience, determination and unwavering resolve will be the foundation on which the Indian Army will continue to make the tricolour proud in all its activities. The prestigious award of Sword of Honor went to Gentleman Cadet Mihir Banerjee, while the Gold Medal for standing first in the Order of Merit goes to Gentleman Cadet Abhimanyu Singh and the Silver Medal for standing second in the Order of Merit was awarded to Mihir Banerjee. The Bronze Medal for the Gentlemen Cadet standing third in the order of merit was presented to Kamalpreet Singh. Whereas, the Bangladesh Medal was awarded to Kinga Lendup (Bhutan) for standing first in order of merit from a foreign GC.<br />
