Chidambaram urges Buddhadeb to reschedule his appointments

The Home Minister Mr. P. Chidambaram has urged West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee to reschedule all his appointments and visit Delhi immediately for discussions. Mr. Chidambaram has written a letter to the Chief Minister. Describing today's violence in Lalgarh as a grave incident, the Home Minister said that he has received information that eight people were killed and eighteen others injured in it. The Home Minister said, though he has not spoken to the Chief Minister today, his Ministry's officials are in regular touch with the state government. Earlier, Mr. Chidambaram had written to the West Bengal Chief Minister that he is available in Delhi between 3rd and 7th of this month. Mr. Bhattacharjee in his response had said that he is willing to meet the Home Minister and discuss the issue but will not be able to come to Delhi during the period mentioned by the Home Minister.
