Mumbai Police Commissioner D Sivanandan today said in Mumbai that the Union Home Minister P Chidambaram will unveil a memorial for 18 security personnel, who were killed during the 26/11 terrorist attacks, on November 26 in Mumbai. Speaking at a seminar on 'Preparedness to fight terrorism' , organized by the city police commissioner ate in Mumbai, the city police commissioner said that the memorial will be unveiled by Mr. Chidambaram to mark the first anniversary of the attack at 1800 hrs at Girguram Chowpati in South Mumbai . The memorial has been constructed to immortalize the sacrifice made by two NSG commandos, a home guard and 15 city police personnel, including then Anti-Terrorist Squad Chief Hemant Karkare, Additional Commissioner of Police Ashok Kamte, Senior Inspector Vijay Salaskar , Assistant Police Sub-Inspector Tukaram Ombale . He also said that several other programmes, including a flag march from Hotel Oberoi, have been planned for the occasion.<br/>
