Chidambaram to highlight terrorism at WEF meeting

Home Minister P Chidambaram will highlight the scourge of terrorism and its global dimension at a special session of World Economic Forum meeting in Davos beginning next week. He will initiate the session, “The Reality of Terrorism”, and deliberate upon how terrorist methods and threats have evolved. The five day annual meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos beginning on 26th January will see participation by 2,500 representatives of over 100 countries. PTI quoting official sources reports, Mr. Chidambaram, will also participate in two other sessions. In the first session, he will talk about India — the second most populous country with over 2,000 ethnic groups –and its shared norms with respect to governance and development. In the second session, the Home Minister will delve into how India is doing with more than half of its population working in agriculture and how India's global growth story will be determined by the way the country manages its rural-roots.
