Chidambaram talks to J&K Congress leadership

The Union Home Minister Mr. P. Chidambaram currently on the two day visit of Jammu and Kashmir had a breakfast meeting with Chief Minister Omar Abdullah at his residence in Jammu on Friday. During the meeting which lasted nearly about an hour, the two leaders discussed matters pertaining to the security scenario in the State. The issues relating to the development projects were also taken stock of in the meeting. Later, the Union Home Minister and Chief Minister got appraisal of the security and law and order and reviewed the measures in place to maintain peace and tranquility in the State. Besides, the top bass of security forces and J&K Police, the meeting was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Tara Chand. Later Mr. Chidambaram along-with Chief Minister Mr. Omar Abdullah flew to Kishtwar where he took stock of the security situation of the five districts of Udhampur, Doda, Kishtwar, Reasi and Ramban with senior Civil and Police officers of these districts.
