Union Home Minister Mr. P. Chidambaram has strongly advocated to enhance peace and communal harmony in Manipur. Addressing a public gathering on his last day of his two day visit to Tamenglong district of Manipur today, the Home Minister said, bandhs and economic blockades will not solve any problem. He said, problems can only be solved through talks. Home Minister expressed willingness to continue talks with United Naga Council, Govt. of India and the Govt. of Manipur at Senapati District in the near future. Earlier in the day, the minister inaugurated two power sub-stations at Tamei and Tousem in Tamenglong district. Later P. Chidambaram inaugurated the Tamenglong Mini Secretariat Complex and a newly constructed Jawahar Novodaya Vidyalaya at Tamenglong headquarters.
