Chidambaram, Shinde & Moily take charge of new Ministries

Mr. Sushil Kumar Shinde has taken over as Home Minister. This portfolio was held by P.Chidambaram till yesterday. Talking to reporters in New Delhi after taking over the charge he said he is feeling proud that Prime Minister has entrusted him a responsibility of an important ministry. Mr. Shinde said, he is the second dalit to hold this portfolio. He assured every possible coopereation by the centre to all States.

Mr. Veerappa Moily who has been given additional charge of power also took charge of the new ministry. The ministry was earlier headed by Mr. Sushil Kumar Shinde. Talking to reporters after taking over Mr. Moily said that he will take stock of the situation and start working on clearing the hurdles facing by the power sector. He said that his priority is to stabilise the grid and it has to sustain and it needs proper strategy.

He said that people need to manage power better as shortage of power is known.

Mr. P Chidambaram took over the charge of Finance Ministry. He was given the charge of Finance Ministry again after a gap of more than two and a half years. He was shifted to Home Ministry after 26/11 Mumbai terror attack. India Inc hailed return of P Chidambaram as the Finance Minister. Industry hoped that the architect of dream budget will put economy on higher growth path and expedite the economic reforms.The notification for reallocation of the portfolios was signed yesterday by the President.
